Mr. Soeder is the Senior Technologist for Power at the Glenn Research Center. He has worked for over 30 years in the area of space power systems and currently serves as Chief Technologist for the Advanced Modular Systems Project focusing on the areas of modular switchgear and converter design as well as Autonomous Power Controls for Exploration applications. Previously, Mr. Soeder was responsible for directing advanced power management and distribution technology development in the areas of advanced components, power systems simulation, power control systems and flywheel technology for aerospace systems. Prior to that, he was instrumental in the Space Station program in the areas of power system design, end-to-end power system verification strategy as well as the design and build-up of advanced technology hardware to support programmatic risk reduction.
