Miss René King is a senior engineer with PPI and is the Managing Editor of the PPI’s Systems Engineering Newsletter. Miss King has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) in Johannesburg. During her studies, Miss King spent several months with Stein Müller Bilfinger in a role involving boiler design and the manufacture of high-pressure pipes for coal-fired power plants. Miss King is currently working towards her Master of Science in Systems Engineering at Wits, in the field of operational capacity of freight railway networks. Miss King is also PPI’s Project Manager for the Systems Engineering Tools Database (SETDB) project, a collaboration between INCOSE and PPI to develop an on-line database of systems engineering-related software tools.
