Vera Fosnot is Director of Aerospace and Aviation Research at the Ohio State University. She is responsible for advancing the strategic goals of the university in aerospace and aviation technology research. Vera works with faculty, Research Centers of Excellence, and internal and external collaborators to meet program commitments and achieve the full scope of program objectives. Vera works to develop and grow opportunities and faculty partnerships with federal, state and industry partners.
Vera has 25 years of industry experience with companies such as Honeywell, JPMorgan Chase, Eaton and Hewlett Packard. She has experience in engineering, program management, strategic marketing, business and alliance development, and product management. Prior to this role, Vera was the College of Engineering Industry Liaison Director where she worked with faculty to collaborate to mutual benefit with our industry partners.
Vera received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics at Case Western Reserve University. She is also an OSU alumnae, having earned a Master degree in Electrical Engineering followed by a Master degree in Computer Science. She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has held PMP (Project Management Professional) certification since 2006.
